Welcome Back!!

We have loved having everyone back in Wiggle Worm Preschool and for all of our new students who have joined us. These first couple months have been wonderful! All of our students have had so much fun with our crafts, activities, themes and games. Here are some pictures of your children the past couple months.

A few weeks ago, our theme was Music. We had a special visitor, Mr. Brown, who taught the kids all about how a guitar works and the sounds it makes. The kids LOVED it!

Clifford!

Our Clifford Unit was such a blast! We read lots of Clifford stories, made Clifford book marks, Clifford Cups, and Clifford hats. We even had Clifford come to visit the class!

Presidents Day

For Presidents Day we had so much fun making Log Cabins out of prezel sticks. Some of us stopped to snack as we glued, and in the end they all turned out super cute! We learned about money and the different presidents that are on some of our coins and bills. We were amazed that the kids were able to memorize a poem about Abraham Lincoln and recite it in front of the class.
The poem went as follows:

Abraham Lincoln, kind and good

was loved and revered by many

to help us remember this president

we put his face on a penny.

After memorizing the poem, they each got to take home some gold chocolate coins!

Thanksgiving

For one of our Thanksgiving crafts we made some turkeys. I don't have a lot of pics for our Thanksgiving unit because I was out on maternity leave, but I got a couple. The kids really loved making these Thanksgiving turkeys and did an excellent job!

Centers

For some of our centers we practiced shape and letter tracing, number recognition and counting, letter matching, and activities that practiced fine motor skills.

Pumpkin Carving

One of the things we did for Halloween was carve a class pumpkin. Some of the kids were a little skeptical at first about getting their hands dirty, but they all loved it by the end. After carving our pumpkin, we cooked our seeds and ate them. They were soooo YUMMY!

Community Helpers

Our Community Helper's Unit is always a fun one! We learned all about the different workers in our community. We got to make police cars, dr. bags, and chef hats. On the last day of our unit, the kids came dressed as what they want to be when they grow up. It was so fun to see all of the fun and creative costumes.

Wyatt wants to be a football player when he grows up.
Colter wants to be a construction worker.
Grant dressed as a teacher.
Bailey has always wanted to be a Veternarian.
Siena came completely prepared as an interior designer.
We were so lucky to have Olivia Callister's dad come speak to us about being a Police Officer.
He even brought his sidekick, which all of the kids LOVED!
